You Will Face the Reality of Realities
You may ignore God now, laugh at warnings now, postpone repentance now, and live as though your life belongs completely to you, but there is one reality you cannot cancel: one day you are going to die. Your body will become weak, your breathing will slow, your strength will leave you, and the people around you will not be able to hold you back from eternity. Your money will not save you. Your position will not save you. Your church title will not save you. Your friends, education, beauty, influence, property, and success will not save you. When your last breath leaves your body, you will enter the reality of realities, and on that day you will know whether God was real, whether judgment was real, whether sin was serious, whether eternity was real, and whether the warnings you ignored were actually mercy. This is why you must stop treating life like a game. Hell is not gentle. Judgment is not gentle. Death is not gentle. Eternity is not a place where excuses will protect you. You cannot spend your whole life resisting God and expect eternity to treat your rebellion lightly. God is merciful, but God is not a joker. You cannot cheat people and hide behind prayer. You cannot steal and still call yourself blessed. You cannot live in immorality and keep saying that God understands. You cannot knowingly hold what belongs to another person and comfort yourself by saying, “God knows my heart.” Yes, He knows your heart, and that is exactly why you should fear continuing in deliberate sin. God sees what nobody else sees. He knows what you deleted, what you hid, what you took, what you lied about, who you deceived, what money you refused to return, what relationship you know is wrong, and what instruction He gave you that you keep postponing. You can deceive your pastor, your family, your church, your spouse, your friends, and even the whole world, but you cannot deceive God. Hebrews 4:13 says that everything is naked and open before His eyes. Nothing is hidden from Him. Stop calling sin small because society calls it small. Stop measuring wrong by how many people are doing it. If everybody lies, lying is still wrong. If everybody cheats, cheating is still wrong. If everybody keeps money that does not belong to them, it is still wrong. If everybody excuses sexual sin, pride, bitterness, corruption, greed, and dishonesty, God does not change His standard because a generation has become comfortable with rebellion. What you call a small compromise may expose a heart that has stopped trembling before God. One of the greatest dangers in the Christian life is becoming comfortable with what God has already convicted you about. The first time you do something wrong, your conscience may trouble you deeply. The next time, the warning may still come. But if you keep refusing correction, your heart can become harder. What once made you afraid may become normal. What once made you repent may become something you now defend. Hebrews 3:15 says, “Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.” The word is today, not someday. When God corrects you, He is showing you mercy while there is still time. Many people want forgiveness without correction. They want to pray, “Lord, forgive me,” but they do not want to make anything right. They want mercy without restitution, grace without repentance, and salvation without surrender. But true repentance must touch your actions. If you stole and you can return it, return it. If you cheated someone, correct it. If you lied against someone, do what you can to repair the damage. If you received something that you know does not belong to you, do not hide behind silence. If God tells you to confess, confess. If He tells you to stop, stop. If He tells you to leave, leave. If He tells you to return, return. Some people think the issue is only about the size of the sin, but many times the deeper issue is whether God can still command you. Can God tell you to give something back? Can God tell you to apologize? Can God tell you to walk away from something you enjoy? Can God expose something in your life and still receive obedience from you? This is where many people fail. We want Jesus as Savior, but we resist Him as Lord. We want His blood, but not His authority. We want Heaven, but we still want to rule our own lives. Jesus said in Matthew 7:21 that not everyone who says, “Lord, Lord,” will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. That should frighten every careless Christian. Church attendance is not enough. Christian language is not enough. A ministry title is not enough. Preaching is not enough. Singing is not enough. Being known as a man or woman of God is not enough. Your denomination cannot save you. Your pastor cannot save you. Your parents' faith cannot save you. You must truly belong to Jesus Christ and walk in repentance and obedience. This warning is also for the world. You may not care about church. You may think life is only about money, business, family, pleasure, success, and survival. But your life is moving toward an appointment you cannot cancel. Hebrews 9:27 says it is appointed unto men once to die, and after this the judgment. One day, you will leave this world. The rich will leave. The poor will leave. The famous will leave. The unknown will leave. The powerful will leave. The unbelieving will leave. Death does not ask whether you are ready. Look at the cemeteries. They are full of people who had plans for tomorrow. People who wanted to travel, build houses, start businesses, get married, raise children, make money, and repent later. Their clothes may still be hanging somewhere. Their phones may still contain messages. Their families may still be speaking about them. Their businesses may still be operating. But they crossed from time into eternity. One day, you will too. Do not read this as though it is for somebody else. I am speaking to you, the person reading these words. You will die. Maybe many years from now, maybe sooner than you expect. I do not know the day, and neither do you. One ordinary morning can become your final morning. One ordinary night can become the last time you close your eyes on earth. One ordinary journey can become your final journey. When that moment comes, everything you chased will suddenly become small. If God allows you to see death approaching on your bed, you may begin to understand what really mattered. You may hear people around you crying. You may remember sermons you ignored, warnings you pushed away, sins you defended, people you refused to forgive, money you refused to return, relationships you knew were wrong, and moments when God was dealing with your heart. You may suddenly want five more years, five more months, five more days, or even five more minutes. But why wait until your body is failing before you discover that life was serious? Life is reality. Death is reality. God is reality. Sin has consequences. Eternity is reality. You may argue with preachers, mock Christians, reject the Bible, or say that you do not believe in judgment, but your unbelief cannot cancel reality. A person can deny the existence of fire and still be burned by it. Reality does not need your permission to remain real. The Church must wake up. Preachers must wake up. Young people must wake up. Parents must wake up. Businessmen must wake up. Leaders must wake up. The rich and the poor must wake up. We do not need another soft message that allows people to sleep peacefully in sin. We need repentance. Real repentance. The kind that makes a thief return what he stole, a liar confess, an adulterer end the affair, a corrupt person leave dishonest gain, a proud person humble himself, and a religious person stop hiding behind ministry. Nineveh heard a warning and repented. They did not sit down and complain that the message was too harsh. They humbled themselves because they understood that destruction was real. This generation must also understand that God is not playing with humanity. Jesus did not die so that you could become comfortable in the very sin He came to save you from. Grace is not permission to rebel. Grace is God's hand pulling you away from destruction. Some of you already know exactly what God has been speaking to you about. You do not need another prophecy, another conference, another dream, or another person to lay hands on you. You already know the issue. You know the compromise. You know the person. You know the money. You know the relationship. You know the secret. You know the thing you are refusing to obey. Stop negotiating with God. Stop delaying. Stop telling yourself you will deal with it later. Later has carried many people into eternity unprepared. If you need to return something, return it. If you need to confess, confess. If you need to apologize, apologize. If you need to end a sinful relationship, end it. If you need to walk away from corruption, walk away. If you need to surrender your life to Jesus Christ, do it now. If you need to repent, repent now. Tomorrow has not been promised to you. Do not misunderstand the fierceness of this warning. The warning is fierce because the danger is fierce. A mother does not whisper when her child is running toward fire. She shouts because she loves the child. In the same way, you must hear this clearly: turn around. Come back to God. Jesus Christ died for sinners. His blood can cleanse. His mercy can forgive. His grace can restore. But you must stop defending the very thing He is asking you to leave. There is coming a moment when time will end for you personally. The last sermon you heard will truly become the last sermon. The last warning will have been given. The last opportunity will have passed. The last breath will leave your body. Then eternity will begin. No more pretending. No more hiding. No more editing your image before people. No more excuses. Just you and God. So while you still have breath, repent. While you can still hear, obey. While you can still make things right, make them right. While mercy is still speaking, respond. Do not wait until your deathbed to discover that everything God warned you about was real. One day, reality itself will preach to you, and eternity will answer every argument. Take God seriously. Take repentance seriously. Take obedience seriously. Take your soul seriously. Take eternity seriously. God is loving. God is merciful. God is patient. But God is not a joker, and one day every soul will stand before Him. If you know you are not right with God and you want to surrender your life to Jesus Christ, pray sincerely from your heart: “Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus Christ. I admit that I am a sinner and I cannot save myself. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins and rose again. Lord Jesus, forgive me, wash me with Your blood, and have mercy on me. I repent of my sins and turn away from my old life. Come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. Give me the strength to obey You, follow You, and live for You from this day forward. Write my name in the Book of Life and help me to remain faithful to You until the end. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
