An 80-Year-Old Woman Reveals Her Terrible Regret in Hell
We came to the next pit, and inside it was a very small person. For some reason, I knew her age. I knew she was about eighty years old, and I knew she was a woman. I do not know how I knew her age, but I did. She seemed to have a thin layer of skin on her bones, and the flames kept burning it away. Somehow, I also knew that a lake of fire passed through this place at certain times. Everywhere I looked, the ground was burned, cracked, and dry, except where the pits of fire were. As I watched, the fire began to burn the woman inside and outside. I wanted to pull her out of the fire, and I cried out for Jesus to restore her. “Oh God, how horrible!” I cried. “I do not know if I can continue because these horrors are too terrible to believe.” The suffering went on as far as I could see. I had never before heard Hell preached about in such a real way. I thought to myself that if people in the world only knew how real Hell is, they would never want anyone to come here. Her cries were very sad. She put her bony hands together as if she were praying, and Jesus knew what I was thinking. He said, “My child, when people are sent here, they still have the same feelings and thoughts they had when they were on earth. They remember their families and friends, and they remember all the times they had the chance to serve Me but refused. These memories remain with them.” I looked at the old woman again, and this time I noticed that she had only one leg. I also saw what looked like holes in her hip bones. “My Lord Jesus,” I cried, “what is this?” He said, “While she was on earth, she had cancer and suffered great pain. She had surgery, and her leg was removed. She began to blame God and say that God had done this to her. She became very bitter and angry with the Lord. My child, she backslid and refused to return to the Lord. When she died, she came here.” The old woman began crying out to Jesus. She said, “My Lord Jesus, please forgive me. If only I had believed while I was on earth.” She cried deeply and said, “If only I had believed and repented before it was too late. Oh my God, help me. I am in pain and torment forever. I cannot die. I cannot rest. Oh my God, my soul is truly in torment.” Jesus answered her again, and He always answered them with His Word. He said, “You were told to depart from evil, do good, seek peace, and pursue it. You refused to forgive others, and you refused to believe and repent. You had chance after chance. You allowed bitterness, envy, and strife to grow in your heart. You refused to repent and give these things to Me, and you would not ask Me to take them away from you.” Sadness covered Jesus’ face as we walked away, leaving the poor old soul burning in the fire.
